We are seeking an Early Childhood Educator to ensure the provision of a high quality education and care program that meets the approved learning frameworks and National Quality Standards. The successful applicant will support an inclusive and safe environment for children where innovation, creativity, active play and resilience are encouraged.
Early Childhood Educator (4YO) - Kurrambee Myaring Kindergarten - Torquay
35.5 hours per week (28 hours contact time plus 7.5 hours non-contact time)
Monday, 8.00am - 4.30pm
Tuesday, 8.00am - 4.30pm
Wednesday, 8.00am - 4.30pm
Thursday, 8.00am - 4.30pm
Friday, 8.00am - 11.30pm (Planning)
**What you will bring to the role**
We are looking for an Educator who:
- Has a strong understanding of child development and is able to create environments for children that provide them with the opportunity to play, explore, experiment, problem solve, think critically and use their imaginations.
- Values the development of trusting, respectful and responsive relationships with the children, their families and colleagues.
**Mandatory Requirements (Skills & Experience)**
- Minimum of a Certificate lll in Children’s Services from an approved training organisation as approved by ACECQA.
- Demonstrated experience working with children and families.
- Experience in assisting in the development and implementation of an educational program.
- A current level ll first aid qualification, including CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma (or ability to undertake before start date).
