In this newly create role as our **Communications Specialist, **you will work with the National Communications Manager in providing a range of internal and external communications support to the various business units across Compass Group. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of stakeholders on contributing to our wider business strategies, building and nurturing communities, driving brand visibility and supporting the delivery of business goals.
You’ll be based in our office in McMahons Point, within walking distance of North Sydney train station, lots of great shops, cafes and restaurants in the area and you’ll be working with a great bunch of people We’re all starting to return to the office so the expectation is you’d be on site about three days a week
**A selection of your key tasks & responsibilities**:
**Internal & External Communications**
- Support the production of a range of publications including weekly newsletters and the bi-annual Compass Life magazine
- Write a variety of content, including company updates, award submissions, news blogs, advertorials etc
- Assist in the preparation of information for a range of reports
- Maintain communication templates for Compass Group
- Support with updating the CGA website and Sharepoint
**Community and Employee Engagement**
- Help drive employee experience/engagement in line with business goals
- Maintain a calendar of business relevant special days and events to highlight internally and externally
- Liaise with Design and various stakeholders to create assets and videos for publication
- Work with the various business units to enhance internal communications
- Support employee recognition programs
**Projects & Continuous Improvement**
- Support projects with photography and video production
- Attend relevant conferences and roadshows to showcase the company’s presence or collaborate with attendees to coordinate content
- Collaborate with and support interstate offices and sites on communications, social media content and projects
**Experience & Qualifications**:
- Tertiary qualifications in Communications/PR/Social Media or relevant industry experience
- Excellent corporate written and verbal communications skills
- Strong knowledge and understanding of communications, social media and brand development
- Ability to use software packages and desktop publishing packages
- Ability to collaborate and work with stakeholders on projects
