An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced mental health professional to join the Mental Health Division as **NDIS Program Lead**. The Mental Health Division provides care and services through a comprehensive range of teams to meet the needs of mental health consumers and carers primarily within the local government areas of Banyule and Nillumbik, with a number of regional and statewide services in addition. Services are located across the three Austin Health campuses and within the community.

The NDIS Program Leader will support NDIS-readiness across the Mental Health Division and act as the key point of contact with the National Disability Insurance Agency local office and Local Area Coordination partner, as well as liaising with clinical staff regarding access and support for consumers to NDIS planning, access and review processes. The Program Lead will be supported internally by the NDIS Steering Committee and will work collaboratively with other roles and activity being undertaken by each of the area mental health services in metropolitan Melbourne, and the work of the Department of Health and Human Services Specialist Clinical Mental Health and NDIS Collaboration Project.

To be successful in this role, applicants must have a relevant professional qualification in a health related discipline with current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a demonstrated understanding and thorough working knowledge of the NDIS Act (2013), National Disability Standards, and the needs of mental health consumers, their families and carers.
