Early Childhood Educator

Piccolo Early Learning Centre is an independent family orientated childcare centre which has almost completed its 4th year of providing nurturing, high quality childcare provision to our loyal and caring families.

We are currently seeking to expand our team, looking for an experienced full-time Cert III educator to take on the role of educator in our Maali Room. The interest of the child is at our core and we strive to provide a caring play-based environment within which our children can flourish.

The successful applicant will be someone that is highly motivated, enjoys working as part of a team, have excellent communication skills, immaculate presentation and can demonstrate the ability to use initiative when required. Someone who is innovative and has obtained excellent skills in engaging and promoting a play based child
- led curriculum.

The Role:

- Care and supervision of children
- Following and contributing a child led play based programme
- Working as part of a team
- Engaging with children in their play
- Sharing stories of the children's day through the Xplor app
- Work as part of the team to maintain a clean and safe learning environment
- Tapping into children's interests to provide opportunities and activities to develop children's skills that reflect their needs and interests

- Experience in facilitating a play-based program
- Enthusiastic
- Strong written and spoken English skills
- Understand the importance of play-based learning
- Enjoy playing with the children
- Receptive and proactive to advice provided by colleagues
- Team player
- Well presented
- Minimum 3 years experience in a daycare setting
