**The Role**
We are currently seeking Trade Assistants with experience and exposure to heavy diesel, mechanical fitting - specifically working around large plant and machinery, or experience in basic yard works, assisting fully qualified fitters with day to day duties.
Most duties will include but will not be limited to:

- Assisting on-site fitters in providing reactive and preventative mechanical maintenance and service to all plant and machinery
- Upholding a strong safety culture - regularly assisting in providing safety checks and inspections
- Assisting in troubleshooting where possible
- Liaising and keeping open lines of communication with facility managers and plant & machinery operators
- Keeping the site as clean as possible - regularly cleaning equipment, plant and machinery as well as keeping workshops and sheds tidy and risk free

**About you**
To be successful in this role, we ask that you:

- Have relevant tickets and licenses
- An up to date white card
- Knowledge of use around basic hand & power tools
- Knowledge and basic exposure to large plant & machinery
- Transport to and from our Avalon site and / or Spotswood site
