About the role

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Merchandise Team in the role of Buyers Assistant. If you love variety this is for you as no two days will be the same

As a Buyers Assistant you will have an exciting role reporting to and providing direct support to the National Buyers. You will assist in the preparation of material for supplier submissions, range reviews and merchandise strategy along with general administration support, processing of advertising material and you will assist with stores and suppliers in liaison with the Buyer.

What's involved:

- Support the buyer with admin associated with range management, including product changes, allocations and inventory management
- Action cost and retail changes as advised by the Buyer
- Monitor competitor activity
- Provide support to stores by liaising with suppliers, Operations, Marketing and other stakeholders

Who we’re looking for

You enjoy the challenge of a fast paced environment with many and varied daily activities working with a dynamic team.

You’ll need:

- Exceptional organisational skills
- Proficiency with MS word, Excel (intermediate level), and PowerPoint
- Understanding of the importance of timelines
- The ability to self manage and prioritise effectively
- Well developed written and verbal communication skills
- Ideally you have a relevant tertiary qualification (Marketing/Business or similar), however not essential and may have experience in store retailing
