**Your new role**:
As the Community Development Worker, you will provide recovery-oriented, evidence-based support interventions to Aboriginal clients and those from other migrant or marginalised communities.

You will foster and coordinate community partnerships, with a focus on ACCOs and multicultural services, to enhance mental health support in the area.

You will build networks to understand local needs, promote culturally safe access for Aboriginal, migrant, and marginalised communities, and develop trusted relationships with clients to support their recovery goals.

You’ll work collaboratively with clients, carers, and families, helping individuals engage in community life, build interpersonal skills, and achieve meaningful rehabilitation outcomes.

**About the program**:
Our Mental Health & Wellbeing Service provides a ‘no wrong door’ approach to connect community members to the right support. It is designed to provide a holistic approach to care and a multidisciplinary team model with a strong focus on lived experience and high engagement.

Neami is the key provider of this Mental Health & Wellbeing Service model, and the service is delivered in partnership with Uniting and Drummond Street Services.

In addition to your salary (SCHADS Level 4) plus superannuation, you can also access the following:

**Your skills and experience**:
You will bring with you:

- Demonstrated understanding of contemporary Aboriginal culture and issues affecting Aboriginal families who may be homeless or at risk of homelessness
- Knowledge of the mental health issues impacting the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, migrant communities and other marginalised communities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other services, agencies and professionals to achieve optimal client outcomes
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and engage in a culturally responsive manner
