Would you love to be part of the tangerine team? Te Akau racing is currently looking for passionate, hard working and reliable stablehands to join our new Cranbourne team

Experience with horses is preferred but not essential. Applicants will be required to carry out the following roles and responsibilities:

- cleaning out horse boxes
- feeding and watering horses
- Assisting to each horse as they go about their morning track work routine
- saddling, swimming, hosing, brushing and maintaining each horse daily
- attending race days strapping and barrier trials
- general stable cleaning and maintenance
- ability to work in a team environment with people and individually
- for people not comfortable with handling horses, we are a stable that want people to learn and grow in all areas.

Full time and Casual positions are available. Salary will depend on level of experience. We do not currently provide accommodation.

Te Akau Racing is one of New Zealand’s most successful stables - and an internationally renowned racing operation. The past season we are proud to have won the training premiership with 203 winners, including 34 stakes winners. We are now expanding our operation into Australia, where Cranbourne in Victoria will be our base. Te Akau Racing lives by the philosophy of attaining goals set for each horse. Winning races for our owners is what drives us, while providing them with the thrill and pleasure of racing with a professional and vibrant team.
