Te Akau racing is currently looking for passionate, hardworking and reliable Casual Stable Hands to join our exciting new Cranbourne team Experience with horses is preferred but not essential.

Applicants will be required to carry out the following roles and responsibilities:

• Cleaning out horse boxes
• Feeding and watering horses
• Assisting to each horse as they go about their morning track work routine
• Saddling, swimming, hosing, brushing and maintaining horse health
• Attending race days strapping and barrier trials
• General stable cleaning and maintenance
• Capability to work in a team environment and individually
• For people not comfortable with handling horses, we are a stable that want people t o learn and grow in all areas
• Availability to work weekends

Casual positions are currently available. Applicants must be available to work weekends, including both Saturday and Sunday mornings and afternoons. Additional shifts and hours may be offered as needed. Salary will depend on level of experience. We do not currently provide accommodation.
