Permanent opportunity for an Employee Relations Specialist - South of the river
**Your new role**
Your new position is responsible for developing and delivering quality workplace relations advice, solutions, policies, processes and systems which are consistent and integrated with the business. Your work will generally involve categories of advice; case management including conduct, grievances, union disputes; policy development; enterprise bargaining; and projects.
You will proactively deliver ER support, and management of cases of all levels of risk cases across a range of ER issues including conduct, performance, change and inherent requirements. There is a strong emphasis on identification of the causes of an issue whilst assessing the bigger picture and then developing a suitable resolution in partnership with the manager, executive stakeholders and HR Business Partners.
Strategies will include a range of interventions including mediation, workplace investigations and disciplinary processes. It is required to provide oversight and guidance to others conducting workplace investigations.
**What you'll need to succeed**
Ideally, you will hold post graduate qualifications in industrial relations, human resource, employment law or related discipline and extensive relevant experience in managing complex employee and industrial relations matters, case management, and policy development, implementation and review. You'll have sound working knowledge of the Fair Work Act 2009 and contract law. Demonstrated experience in case management of complex matters such as misconduct, underperformance and industrial disputes through to resolution. Experience in conducting complex workplace investigations is essential. You'll also have high level ability to review, interpret, and formulate professional responses to complex notices of dispute, legal issues or complaint submitted by staff, the union or other paid agents which appropriately address the issue in question whilst managing risk.
