What does asset protection mean to you? For the City it means you will inspect and, if required, issue infringements, on roads, footpaths, verge, crossovers and roadside memorial matters (within the provisions of the relevant Acts, Regulations, local laws and policies). You will also provide advice to stakeholders, conduct investigations as and when required and prepare legal briefs to enable successful prosecutions.

You possess strong skills in customer service, knowledge of relevant local laws and specifications; and have well developed computer and technical skills. With experience in conducting inspections and knowledge of verge development, you can hit the ground running with your positive attitude and drive to provide excellent service to our residents.

You have a current ‘C’ class driver’s licence and are degree-qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. Civil Engineering).
- Knowledge of Local Government Act 1995 (WA), City of Rockingham Public Places and Local Government Property Local Law 2018
- Ability to programme inspections, manage own time and ensure timely completion and documentation of inspection outcomes
- Well-developed negotiation, influencing and problem solving skills
- Well-developed statement and report writing skills
- Knowledge of WHS, risk management practice and principles
- Qualifications in project management

We are offering a gross salary of **$81,809 per annum** and:

- 11% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5%
- A variety of health and wellbeing programmes
- Two additional paid days of absence per annum (eligibility criteria apply)

- Salary packaging opportunities for motor vehicles, etc.
