Ability Action Australia's multidisciplinary team covering the Illawarra region continues to grow We are now looking for an **experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner who has current suitability with the NDIS Commission at the Core level.**

The role will include...
- Assisting participants, along with their families and/or carers, to identify their needs through assessment and person-centred planning
- Evaluating, developing and delivering evidence-based support plans within a complex support space
- Developing meaningful goals and practical strategies utilising a positive behaviour support framework, and with a commitment to eliminate restrictive practices, in the home and community
- Ensuring individual plans reflect participants' goals, passions and strengths
- Building the knowledge, capacity and strengths of those who support participants in their lives - family, carers, friends, etc
- Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

- Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication, verbal and written, skills
- Proactive attitude, motivated by improvement and the opportunity to test and learn from new ideas
- Genuine passion for working in the disability sector
- Solution focused
- Passionate about what you do and pride yourself on delivering exceptional customer service

**Qualifications**
- Current suitability - confirmed by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission - at least at **Core** level as a Behaviour Support Practitoner
- Degree qualified in an allied health discipline is strongly preferred
