**The Position**

Caring Society is looking for experienced Female Support Workers to provide domestic assistance, intimate personal care, transportation, in-home respite, social support and services that support our clients needs. Our Support Workers are valued team members who contribute to client wellbeing and independence and help them achieve optimal health and wellbeing outcomes.

**What's involved in the role?**
Home Care Support Workers deliver a range of 'At Home Aged Care services and mostly work independently in client homes, but with direct support from their Care Manager. Duties include:

- Assisting with personal care
- Medication assistance
- Meal preparation
- Light domestic duties
- Shopping and transport to medical appointments,grocery shopping, etc.
- Social support and community engagement

**Positions and Perks**
- Casual & Part-time positions available
- Able to work and travel in and around Canberra and surrounding areas
- Ability to work short shifts
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Base hourly rate can be negotiated according to experience
- Travel allowance of 0.80c per km will be paid for kms travelled for/with clients

**Required skills, experience, and credentials**
- Certificate III or higher in Community Care (Disability, Individual Support, Ageing Support) is a must
- Flexible approach to a range of working hours between 7:00 am - 10:00 pm, Monday to Sunday
- Motor Vehicle License (Full C Class or Full International)
- A registered, reliable, and comprehensively insured motor vehicle
- A current First Aid and CPR Certificate or willing to obtain
- Willingness to undergo a National Criminal Check - no older than 12 months (or be willing to obtain)
- Current Working with Vulnerable People Card
- Evidence of current Flu Vaccination **(essential)**:

- Evidence of Covid Vaccination **(essential)**

- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Flexible hours
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- On call
- Rotating roster
- Shift work

Supplementary Pay:

COVID-19 considerations:
On 14 October 2021, the Australian Capital Territory Government released a Public Health Order mandating COVID-19 vaccinations for all in-home and community aged care workers such as caring society team members.

**Experience**:

- Home Care/Aged Care: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- Any other Languages (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (required)
- Working with Vulnerable People Registration (required)
- National Police Certificate (required)
- Driver Licence (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
