**Position Information**:
Northern Beaches Secondary College Cromer Campus (enrolment 1170 students) is a comprehensive co-educational school located on the northern beaches of Sydney. Cromer Campus has recently experienced a substantial increase in student numbers due to a range of successful programs. The school is currently experiencing significant growth in students’ academic achievement and a strong commitment to the PBeL values of respect, responsibility and success.

At NBSC Cromer Campus there is a strong emphasis on quality teaching and high expectations across all areas of school life. **Selection Criteria**:
Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria,

1. Demonstrated expertise in motivating staff to use differentiation strategies to improve student growth and achievement for all learners, including high-potential and talented students.

2. Outstanding instructional leadership and the capacity to lead coaching conversations that influence quality teaching and learning structures which builds on a culture of high expectations, collaborative practice, and ongoing school improvement.

3. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with the school leadership team to support school’s shared vision, implement school strategic directions and lead whole school initiatives.

4. Demonstrated ability to analyse data and create high-impact professional learning that ensures the continual development and growth of teacher expertise to improve student learning outcomes.

**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice

2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs

3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams

4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents

5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning

6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policies
