You are critically reflecting on practice at all times. Our beautiful Centre with our multicultural children will provide the successful applicant with great joy if they can provide excellent learning experiences and have the children and their families as their main focus.

This position is for Monday to Friday between 8:00 am and 5:30 pm. We are looking for someone who can start either at 8:00 am and/or be able to finish at 5:30 pm if/when needed. It is a must to either do an open or close as we do this on rotation to make it fair to all staff.

**_Qualifications required:_**
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current Police check
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current Food Saftey Certificate
- A great understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to provide input into the program to maintain a strong educational program
- A certified Supervisors Certificate is desirable

**_Your key priorities will be to:_**
- Assess the needs of each child, monitor their progress as part of a team
- Ensure that a developmentally and educationally appropriate program is planned and implemented for each child as part of a team and that reflection processes are in place
- Provide supervision and assistance to other Educators in the room
- Maintain a positive working relationship with team members
- Sustain effective communication with parents
- Maintain and manage the resources of the room
- Be a cooperative team member
- To work within the Centre's Policies and procedures
- Ensure health and safety standards are adhered to at all times

**_About Kaleen Cubbyhouse and a little on our Philosophy:_**

Kaleen Cubby House, affectionately known as "Cubby" is a non-profit community-based facility administered by the Kaleen Cubbyhouse Association Inc. We have been operating for 40 years.

The Centre is committed to providing child care to the community. It is managed by the Director and Educators employed by the Kaleen Cubbyhouse Association Inc. The Centre operates under the National Quality Standards and is an approved Centre making parents accessible to the Child Care Subsidy. We are licensed to cater to up to 20 children per day and provide family grouping; which is where children of varying ages interact and are cared for in the same room together.

Our hours of operation are Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.30pm. Cubby is closed for four weeks over the Christmas school holidays.
