The Village brand has eight venues across the country from the laneways of Melbourne CBD to the wonder of Cairns and beyond.

**Surry Hills Village is reopening after an exciting renovation,** and we’re on the lookout for a passionate **Housekeeping Supervisor** to lead our talented housekeeping team.

**The role**

You'll help make our hostel a warm and welcoming place for our guests by ensuring the rooms and shared spaces are sparkling clean. You'll also train and support housekeeping staff, report maintenance needs and property damage. You’ll collaborate with other departments to make sure our guests have the best experience possible and that we follow all health and safety rules.

Guest interaction is commonplace and you will need a solid understanding of our hostel offerings, activities and local area.

You are the eyes and ears of our building and you must be willing to manage and escalate issues as required - the safety of our staff and guests is paramount.

You will manage rosters and timesheets and may perform other ad-hoc duties on an as-needed basis.

**Who we’re looking for**

You're experienced in housekeeping or hospitality, ideally in a supervisory role. You're proactive, detail-oriented, and a real team player with a knack for solving problems. You’ve got strong leadership and communication skills as well as being friendly and approachable. You’re a natural at and comfortable with managing people.

The availability to work flexible hours is key. As our hostel is open 24/7, you might work days, evenings, weekends, and or public holidays. You know your way around cleaning procedures and safety protocols, and you either have a current police clearance or you're willing to get one.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $71,000.00 per year
