**_ About the Role_**
The role of the Quality and Compliance Officer exists to improve current practice to improve the quality of services offered to individuals who receive a service from Mamre Association Inc. This role will promote quality improvement practices and work within a compliance framework.
The role will support Mamre employees to ensure compliance and exceptional service provision. This role must work in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and understand the NDIS.
**_ Your main duties and responsibilities will include:_**
- Assist in building a positive professional relationship between the individual living with disability, external stakeholders and the community by continually informing people of what we can offer
- Uphold contemporary knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme legislation, rules and operational guidelines. This also includes NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, National Disability Insurance Agency and other relevant peak bodies
- Maintain accurate and complete records in accordance with legislative requirements
- Update templates and relevant Mamre documentation as required
- Maintain and monitor Quality and Compliance registers
- Regularly report data analysis trends relating to organisation incidents and mitigation strategies to optimise compliance and safety
- Provide monthly reports or as required to your line manager against key performance indicators
- Conduct internal audits across the organisation to ensure Quality and Compliance.
- Establish a quality improvement loop across the organisation
- Enhance Mamre’s practice and reputation through continuous improvement
- Create and alter policies and procedures to be in line with the NDIS practice standards
- Collate organisation feedback and report on trends and corrective actions
- Monitor organisational compliance with mandatory training requirements
- Facilitate the development of training modules as required
**_KEY CAPABILITIES REQUIRED _**
**Essential**
- Minimum of two years of experience in a Quality and Compliance role or similar
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the NDIS legislation and rules including provisions relating to reasonable and necessary supports and the role of the mainstream service system
- Proven experience in building and maintaining professional, individual-focused relationships with stakeholders
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the risk factors experienced by individuals living with disability
- Excellent interpersonal and active listening skills
- Excellent communication skills, including advocacy and report writing skills
- Ability to adapt communication style to meet people's needs and resolve conflict
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Strong administrative skills - time management, coordination of tasks, efficient work practices, ability to manage own caseload etc.
- Advanced computer skills with capability in using various systems including Proda and Sharepoint
**_QUALIFICATIONS/LICENCES/CERTIFICATIONS_**
**Essential**:
- Relevant qualifications in Community services, quality compliance or auditing background
- Current Blue Card and Yellow Card/NDIS Worker Screening Card
- Updated COVID-19 Vaccination status
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
