**About the Role**:
As a **Youth Worker**, you will provide safe, nurturing, and supportive care for children and young people in our residential settings. You’ll act as a positive role model and help young people develop essential life skills and build confidence.

We have multiple casual positions available and are seeking **dedicated Youth Workers** who are passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of **children and young people living in Out-of-Home Care**, including both residential and foster care settings.

This is a dynamic and rewarding role that requires flexibility — our Youth Workers must be available to work a range of shifts, including **days, afternoons, evenings, weekends, sleepovers, and active nights**.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Build safe, trusting relationships with children and young people through active engagement.
- Be a positive adult role model and encourage involvement in meaningful activities.
- Promote positive relationships with family members, peers, and support networks.
- Support family visits and connection where appropriate.
- Empower young people to actively participate in decisions about their daily lives and activities.

**About You**:
To be considered for paid employment as a Youth Worker in Queensland, you must:

- Have completed (or be actively working toward) a **relevant qualification** - minimum **Certificate IV**. Not sure if your qualification is eligible? Check: peakcare.org.au
- Hold an **Unrestricted Driver's Licence** (essential)
- Hold or be willing to obtain a **valid First Aid & CPR certificate**
- Be committed to child safety, trauma-informed practice, and inclusion
