**About the Centre/Service**

Maribyrnong Kindergarten Inc. is a community kindergarten run by a parent Committee of Management (CoM). Operating out of a one-room classroom, we offer both a three
- and four-year-old program. Our philosophy is play-based with an emphasis on valuing the voices of children and supporting them to experience success in their learning journey. Bush kinder is an integral part of our curriculum with each child attending one session per week at our Pipemakers Park site. The kinder has a strong commitment to meaningful, regular engagement with families and our wider community. We are rated overall as ‘Exceeding’ the National Quality Standards (NQS).

**Description**
- An understanding and knowledge of early childhood development relevant to their level of qualification and position.
- Ability to assist in the provision of a developmentally appropriate program for the children; in partnership with the Early Childhood Teacher and parents.
- Reasonable knowledge and understanding of the National Law and Regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively with staff, parents and professionals.
- Work in a cooperative, flexible and professional manner with children, parents, staff, other professionals and the committee.
- Well-developed self-motivation skills and initiative and demonstrated commitment to high quality professional development and reflective practice.
- Developing warm, reciprocal relationships with children and families to support their ongoing development and lifelong learning.
- Supporting each child to participate in the educational program.
- Understanding of the Victoria Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF), National Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
- Must be a permanent Australian resident or have rights to work in Australia.

**Qualifications**
- ACECQA approved Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent or a Certificate III qualification
- ACECQA approved First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis
