**The Service**

**KU Carillon Avenue Children's Centre **, located in **Newtown **, is easily accessible by public transport and has on-site parking.

Rated as Exceeding the National Quality Standard, KU Carillon Ave caters for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years old and offers a play-based learning program rich in leisure opportunities that are centred upon children's interests and strengths to support their learning and development.

KU Carillon's area of specialisation is sustainability and they are in the process of reinvigorating their outdoor garden. The service boasts a curriculum that focuses on children becoming active participants in their local community with strong connections to the University of Sydney.

**The Role**

**We have an exciting permanent opportunity for a full time educator, working 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday accruing a monthly Rostered Day Off (RDO)**

**To be considered for this role, it is essential you have**:

- Work rights to enable you to work in Australia
- A valid NSW Employee Working with Children Check
- A recognised Diploma level of qualification in Children’s Services or similar as approved by Australian Children’s Education and Quality Authority (ACECQA)
- Child Protection training and knowledge of current legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children
- A current First Aid certificate with separate Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management training
- Sound understanding of the NQF, EYLF, Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011)
