Security Analyst, Holding Baseline Clearance, Contract - 6 months, $700- $900 p/d + Super
**Your new company**
Your new position will be within one of the leading federal government institutes. The organisation is currently embarking on a cybersecurity uplift program and requires resource to assist with this program of work.
**Your new role**
Within this role you will be responsible for the administration of Security Monitoring tools and execution of security procedures to maintain adequate system security controls, vulnerability management, security incident readiness, threat intelligence coordination and cyber incident response to minimise the risk of internal and external security threats.
**What you'll need to succeed**
As well as in depth understanding of Cybersecurity you will be required to possess the following skills/experience:
- Good understanding of Essential 8, ISO27001, and/or NIST Framework.
- Strong understanding on operating systems, and network fundamentals.
- Strong hands-on experience with vulnerability management tools (Qualys or Nessus) and operation of log management and SIEM (e.g. ELK, QRadar, Splunk.).
- Demonstrated hands-on Experience in administration of technical tools to support security operations (Firewall, IDS/IPS, EDR).
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining cybersecurity in a federated or multi-sourced environment is highly desirable.
