The Principal Policy Officer will be responsible for preparing and writing two high profile statutory documents for education industry
- the department's four year strategic plan and annual report.

The Principal Policy Officer will be responsible for preparing and writing two high profile statutory documents for the education industry.

The main responsibilities for this role involve;
- Producing high quality written content based on input provided by various contributors.
- Preparing and presenting comprehensive reports in line with style guides, that contain strategic content, data, analysis and graphs suitable for publication.
- Plan and manage according to tight timeframes, liaising with team members and contributors, anticipating addressing issues, negotiating key elements with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved.

**Requirements**:

- Demonstrated experience in writing strategic documents for government, preferably strategic plans and/or annual reports.
- Excellent writing and editing skills with ability to adapt style and narrative in keeping with reporting style guides.
- Ability to maintain a common voice / tone and align content to strategic messages.
- Preferably knowledge or experience of the education portfolio.
