Seeking highly motivated and skilled EL1's who have grant or procurement experience along with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. With the recent Budget funding announcements, you will play a key role in working on cross-government and cross-portfolio issues. You will be part of a section with a growing focus on building deep ongoing relationships with state, territory and local governments, as well as key industry and research stakeholders and partner agencies across the Australian Government.

**Responsibilities**:
Your role will require you to undertake some of the following tasks:

- Assessing and overseeing the delivery of non-infrastructure road safety grants
- Cabinet submission and budget process support
- Managing core administrative functions such as the preparation of ministerial correspondence, briefs and implementation advice
- Building strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders including organising and providing secretariat support

**Requirements**:

- Demonstrated grant and procurement experience with the ability to manage, assess and review grant submissions and progress reports
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
- Great communication skills with the ability to influence your audience and manage negotiations
- Well-developed writing skills with the ability to contribute to briefings, ministerial correspondence and program report writing
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities, deal with uncertainty and foster a high performing culture
