**The Opportunity**
The Regulation Directorate sits within the Transport Policy and Regulation Division and is responsible for driving the Government’s regulation and policy initiatives and ensuring appropriate compliance, behaviour and safe access across our transport networks.
We are seeking to employ multiple Licence Regulation Officers to join our Licence Regulation team.
The Licence Regulation Officer reports to the Licence Regulation Manager and is responsible for the administration of the _Motor Vehicles Act 1959_ and _Road Traffic Act 1961_ as they relate to driver licensing by:
- Administering and monitoring several driver licensing processes related to driving offences and driver licensing schemes including the Demerit Points Scheme, Graduated Licensing Scheme. A person’s medical fitness to hold a driver’s licence or learner’s permit and the Mandatory Alcohol Interlock Scheme.
- Maintaining and recording offence and medical records on the Register of Drivers Licence’s.
- Customer service including responding to customer queries and complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follow up to ensure resolution. Keep records of customer interactions, process customer requests and file documents. Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies. Take the extra mile to engage customers.

**Special Conditions**
- A National Police Check (NPC) which must be renewed every three years.
- A Department for Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check (WWCC) which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
Some out of hours and weekend work may be required.
**Tenure of Vacancy**
Temporary appointment up to 12 months. An extension or conversion to an ongoing role will be considered after this period.
Full and part time positions available.
**Remuneration**
ASO2 - $58,709 to $63,154 pa + superannuation.
