**About us**

**Shirley’s Canteen provides great food & coffee to visitors, locals, workers & tradies for breakfast & lunch. **We are creating an awesome coffee, sandwich, pie & cake bar to deliver just what our customers need.

**About the role**

We are looking for someone to handle the grill, throw a toastie in the press, make a mean sandwich, take an order and even caress a coffee or two. Kicking off mid May this is the perfect role to exercise your creativity in a small but supportive team working in a permanently sited food trailer in Warners Bay.

A typical day and week could look like;
- Arrive bright and early and drink a brew with the team
- Prep our daily toastie and sambo specials.
- Take customer orders and handle the register
- Make a killer egg and bacon roll
- Offer our customers friendly service with a smile
- Order supplies and keep everything running smoothly

**To nail this role you’ll need**:

- A warm and super friendly energy
- Experience as a cook/barista/all rounder in a café or the confidence to learn
- Strong customer service skills
- A passion for great service, food and coffee
- To be cool under pressure
- A Sense of fun
