**About The Role**

Are you interested in sports and data analysis? Do you have a keen eye for statistics or experience with fantasy sports or betting? Sportsbet is looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Sports Trader to join our team, with a focus on AFL, AFLW, and Cricket.

As a Sports Trader at Sportsbet, you will play a key role in pricing and trading markets for AFL, and, once the AFL season ends, get the opportunity to work with the AFLW and Cricket markets. Your main responsibility will be pricing AFL, including match betting, player prop markets, and futures, whilst getting some behind the scenes access to some exciting new markets in our pipeline Most cricket pricing is gathered from various other feeds, so most of your work will revolve around AFL and AFLW pricing and live trading.

**Responsibilities Include**
- **AFL, AFLW, and Cricket Trading**: Predominately focused on AFL trading and pricing, with opportunities to expand into AFLW and Cricket.
- **Pricing Player Prop Markets**: Work with all AFL Player-based Stats and Futures
- **Live Trading**: Engage in live trading to ensure accurate and real-time market updates.
- **Collaboration**: Partner with the risk team to manage liabilities and balance pre-match and in-play risks.
- **Operational Excellence**: Ensure our betting markets are created, displayed, and resulted in a timely fashion for a best-in-class customer experience.

You won’t be expected to master all of these on day 1, or even day 30. We offer comprehensive training to support your growth, especially if you bring some of the following skills or interests to the table:
**About You**
- **AFL Passionate**: You have an in-depth knowledge of AFL and a solid understanding of cricket.
- **Stats Enthusiast**: You are into betting, Supercoach, AFL fantasy or another form of sporting stats
- **Attention to Detail**: You have the highest level of attention to detail and can maintain a high level of concentration.
- **Basic Maths Skills**: You possess base-level maths skills.
- **Career Minded**: You are driven and focused on advancing your career.
- **Multitasker**: You can handle multiple tasks and stay calm under pressure, working to tight deadlines.
- **Collaborative**: You have strong people skills and the ability to collaborate both internally and across the team.
- **Betting & Statistics Knowledge**: You understand betting and statistics and are open to learning about other minor domestic sports.
- **Communication Skills**: Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- **Educational Background**: An undergraduate degree in statistics, mathematics, or a business-related field is desirable.
- **Excel and Coding Skills (Bonus)**: Basic Excel skills are a must, and coding experience (R Studio) is a bonus.

**This is a full-time role requiring at least one weekend day per week, with shifts during the AFL season extending until 11pm due to game schedules.**
