This is a unique career opportunity for an experienced Safety Coordinator to join a global progressive industry leader, providing intelligent and automated solutions to the Aviation sector. The business partners with airports and airlines to analyse their current structures and operations, to create customised, streamlined solutions using technology.
The organisation specialises in delivering turnkey projects to large Capital City Airports, and regional airport facilities. Their project scope incorporates advanced technologies to improve the performance and efficiencies of airport operations such as, traffic handling, runway and taxi lighting to tower based traffic control systems, intelligent gate and docking automation.
Join their construction team, commencing onsite at a new runway construction project in Nowra Hill.
**The Opportunity**
This is an exciting career opportunity for a passionate Safety Coordinator to join the business, supporting and promoting the companies positive workplace health and safety culture. The goal is to support the creation of a healthy and safe workplace.
Working closely with the Project Management team, clients and head contractors Safety team, your day to day responsibilities will include:
- Monitor operations to eliminate hazardous activities, providing advice to minimise safety risk
- Enforce and maintain company policies and procedures, ensuring updates are being appropriately communicated to company management, staff and clients
- Accurate completion and submission of workers compensations claim documentation including coordination of return to work and rehabilitation plans, Participate in accident investigation procedures, incident management processes and reporting
- Update and maintain the company's internal management system, recording all information relating to quality, environmental and safety processes
- Assist with company and site specific safety plans, ensuring compliance of onsite safety registers, completion of JSA documentation, coordination and planning company safety meetings
- Implement, maintain and update safety plans, ensure compliance and manage onsite concerns which require your direct attention
- Conduct QA Internal audits and project WHS performance reviews, ensuring compliance to company safety policies and procedures as well as assisting in the coordination of annual third party audits, complete and provide access to reports as required

To be considered for this opportunity you will possess following skills and attributes:
- Certificate IV or Diploma in OHS
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicated with people at all levels with the ability to develop and maintain internal / external working relationship
- Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within the construction or electrical industries
- Strong understanding and working knowledge or WHSEQ processes and compliance for OHS Regulations, Acts and Workers Compensation Legislation
- Confidence to implement and ensure compliance of safety processes across multiple project sites
- Well organized, conscientious, trustworthy and reliable
