**About us**

VCAT serves the community by resolving civil and administrative disputes and making decisions in human rights and guardianship cases. VCAT services a diverse range of Victorian disputes, from residential tenancy matters to complex building and property and human rights matters, which have a deep reach into the Victorian community and a direct impact on the economy, in particular, in planning, property, health and small business.

VCAT has currently embarked on a digitally-enabled service transformation focused on delivering enhanced online services for our users, end to end digital workflows in all our lists, and building an empowered and capable workforce who are receptive and ready for change.

**About the role**

The main responsibility of this role is to design, develop, maintain, troubleshoot and enhance testing strategies by designing, developing, maintaining and enhancing automation test suites for the delivery of list specific customer / document management systems.

With specialist knowledge in this area, the role will provide thought leadership to mature the thinking and approach of the team across a range of matters but specifically in relation to technical testing uplift.

The key responsibilities will include:

- Undertake test planning, design, test data generation aligned to environment requirements
- Create and enhance test automation frameworks
- Align test automation frameworks and code with best practices and coding standards
- Develop and maintaining test plans and scripts autonomously, ensuring proper test coverage for all functional and non
- functional requirements
- Execute test scripts, recording, variance reporting against expected outcomes
- Undertake other duties as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with general level of responsibility for this role

**About you**
- _Demonstrated 3-5+ years' experience working on medium to large IT projects (ideally in CRM) as a QA / Test Engineer, particularly in a test automation role_
- Experience in test automation design with Continuous Integration (CI / CD) Continuous Delivery Tools
- Knowledge of the some of the following tools: Selenium, Dev Ops, Jira, Confluence, Easy Repro, Executive automats and / or Leapwork
- Knowledge of SQL server with a demonstrated ability to write complex queries used for data validation and troubleshooting
- Experience and skills in a programming language for automation (Java, Python, C#)
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to take initiative and problem solve, as well as the willingness to be flexible and go above and beyond
- Demonstrates commitment to achieving complex and challenging goals.
