About the Position
The Communications Specialist is responsible for the implementation of communication strategies that support 3Bridges goals and objectives, ensuring that organisational messaging is consistent, effective, and aligned with 3Bridges’ human centric focus, by utilising key communication platforms, such as website, intranet and key digital channels. Maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, including clients, employees, and external entities.
**About the role**
- Implement and review internal and external communications strategy to drive improved brand, awareness, influence, and profile of 3Bridges.
- Develop a range of communications for use in a range of channels including content, stories, media statements, correspondence, social media content, intranet, web and newsletter copy.
- Manage 3Bridges website, intranet and communications platforms.
- Continually review analytics and reporting to drive increased impact.
- Enable the efficient flow of communication within the organisation across multiple sites and remote workforce.
- Develop or oversee the development of graphic design content such as graphical representation of complex information.
- Provide guidance and training to staff on effective communication practices.
- Lead the preparation of annual report and assist in the preparation of research/project reports, promotional materials, and other publications.
- Provide guidance and enable effective communication between the person with dementia and their family carers and make appropriate referrals when necessary
- Assist with development of new internal communications digital infrastructure and associated content
- Utilise data and research insights to design, curate, and implement targeted, engaging, and timely internal and external content.
- Work closely with the Social Impact & Engagement team to develop, implement and support mechanisms to carry out and enhance internal/external communications and engagement.
- Work collaboratively with leadership team and other stakeholders and develop effective working relationships.
- Utilise public relations skills to engage internal/external stakeholders and all levels of Government to build relationships and raise the profile of 3Bridges.
**About You**
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in journalism or communications with demonstrated ability to support in developing strategy and implementation of the set strategic goals.
- Qualifications in Journalism, Communications, or Public Relations.
- Advanced written communication skills with the ability to write copy and produce both short and long form communications and publications for use across a range of channels.
- Ability to understand, interpret and distil complex information into accessible content.
- High level skills in managing competing priorities and adapting quickly and effectively to changing goals and priorities.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate strong relationships, influence, negotiate effectively and engage stakeholders.
- Experience in the not-for-profit sector highly desirable.
