Manager Clinical Redesign and Innovation, Hornsby
2 days ago
Is leading clinical innovation and quality improvements your passion? Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital has a great part time role for someone who is inspired by opportunities to improve patient and staff experiences through how we design the care we provide. This role would suit someone looking for work life balance and keen to work the 24 hrs per week flexibly.
Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) encompasses five hospitals and a variety of community health centres extending from Sydney Harbour to Sydney's upper north shore. Our principal role is to improve the health of 800,000 residents by providing and facilitating efficient, effective, and responsive health services, including acute hospital services. Northern Sydney’s vision is to be "leaders in healthcare, partners in community wellbeing".
We pride ourselves on Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging and embrace flexibility and offer a great team culture; development opportunities; salary packaging along with a fitness passport and more.
Your purpose is to drive innovative and impactful projects which are aligned to the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital’s Operational Plan, NSW Health’s Leading Better Value Care program and Hornsby Hospital’s Redevelopment. This position is required to improve clinical care and performance to strive for the Quadruple Aims of Health: Improved patient experiences, reduced costs, improved staff experience of delivering care and better health outcomes across the population.
**Employment Type**: Permanent Part Time
**Position Classification**: Health Manager (Level 4)
**Remuneration**: $65.75 - $78.67 per hour
**Hours Per Week**: 24
**Requisition ID**: REQ327401
**Where you'll be working**
Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital (HKH) is a newly built hospital and you will collaborate with colleagues to enhance the realisation of benefits that come with new facilities and resulting models of care. We are also building the final phase of our hospital expansion and this includes offering renal dialysis and chemotherapy services for the first time at Hornsby, so you will play a key role in the design of these models of care. We have an open plan team based working spaces on L5 as part of the Executive Unit. We also have great sunsets over our lovely bushland.
**What you'll be doing**
Working closely with the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Executive and leaders across Hornsby Ku-ring-gai to craft compelling cases for change that improves patient experience of care (quality and satisfaction), improves the health of our local community, provides better value for money and are sustainable, increases accessibility to our services, increases patient and staff safety and develops and motivates our staff.
Key will be your ability to work closely with Hornsby Ku-ring-gai clinicians to guide them on how to structure their clinical redesign projects and persevere when the challenges to innovate seem insurmountable. You will know you have succeeded when staff come to you with ideas and are able to structure projects well, implement their solutions and share the benefits achieved. Over time your work will be less hands on and more consultancy style.
So if you enjoy a challenge and are motivated to showcase innovations that result through your work, this is a great opportunity.
