**About the role**

This role provides crucial Asset Management advice to clients from both strategic and front-line perspectives. You will be an integral part of a high performing team executing jobs of varying sizes and complexity. To ensure your success, you will be mentored by professionals with a wealth of experience across the energy, mining, infrastructure, food and beverage and renewables industries.

As a Spares and Materials Specialist, you will work with existing national clients on asset management projects and be supported to continue our success in generating innovative, fit for purpose and cost-effective solutions for our customers. Within this role, you will:

- Work directly with customers day-to-day, driving project deliverables.
- Take a key role in developing, implementing and improving materials management systems and processes.
- Develop new or manage existing Materials Master Data
- Develop project data definition guides and configure project instances accordingly
- Carry out periodic QC to ensure project data quality as per internal quality processes and data definition guidance
- Produce reports and/or metrics for data elements of assigned projects as required
- Contribute to continuous improvement in all necessary systems, processes and procedures in delivery of projects
- Maintain an up to date knowledge of techniques and best practices appropriate to material master data management
- Provide mentoring to junior staff engaged in support of data management scopes of work
- Provide training in data management for own and client staff as required

The type of assignments may include:

- Managing Material Master Data
- Performing Spare Parts Reviews and Assessments
- Stock Holding Level Assessments
- Materials Management Framework including developing Spare Parts Philosophies, Guidelines and Procedures
- BoM Development
- MRP Analysis
- Providing Materials Master Data, Critical Spares Analysis and MRP support to a variety of Operational Readiness projects

**About you**

This role would suit a person with a background in mining, hydrocarbons or chemicals environments. The person will require excellent communication skills and proven capability to perform under pressure, individually and as part of a team.

**Key Skills & Experience**:

- A degree or trade background
- Between 8 and 15 years work experience preferably within a mining, hydrocarbons or chemical environment
- Computer Literate with good capability of MS Office suite of programs
- Proficient developing and managing one or more CMMS databases (i.e. Oracle, Maximo, SAP, JDE)
- Experience with Equipment, Bill of Materials and Maintenance Plan development.
- Experience preferably in maintenance operations and teams
- A high competence and passion to use data to drive projects and reporting.
- Demonstrated initiative to identify and extend service opportunities with existing customers.
