Our client is an international manufacturer and supplier of specialised machinery and equipment for the meat processing industry. The company leads the world in the innovation and development of meat processing solutions that raise the bar on the hygiene and table quality of retail meat products.

At this time, we are looking for an experienced industrial Automation Technician to take on a pivotal role encompassing the installation, after sales support and process improvement activities, on new and existing installations within meat processing plants.

On a daily basis your duties will include but not be limited to:

- Installation and commissioning of new machinery solutions throughout Victoria and NSW.
- Troubleshooting and remedial action on existing installations.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on existing installations
- Identifying and acting on opportunities for process improvement.
- Work closely with the Design team and Engineers on Project development and support.
- Hands on activities associated with the testing, installation and commissioning of projects.
- Write, modify and interpret PLC programmes using most major platforms, but particularly Allen Bradley.
- Liaise with and support other onsite trades and contractors.
- Regular interstate and some international travel may be required.
- Ideally you are trade or tertiary qualified in an electrical discipline and possess strong mechanical and PLC skills.
- Minimum of 5 year’s experience in a similar position.
- Experience with systems incorporating compressed air, refrigeration plants, valves, sensors, and pumps would be highly regarded, but is not essential.
- Meat industry experience would also be highly regarded.
