**Fitter (General) - Full Time**

**Location: South Guildford, WA**

Tutt Bryant Heavy Lift & Shift is a multi-disciplined cranes, heavy lifting and specialised transport and lifting company that operates nationally in Australia.

The Specialised Transport and Lifting team, based in **South Guildford**, Western Australia, is offering a Full-Time position, working locally and away, offering an industry leading EBA, with full penalty rates and allowances, suitable to the working roles to be engaged, with progressive initiatives, for employee’s wanting to expand their skill set and knowledge.

We are an industry-leading unit that services major customers requiring ultra-heavy and over dimensional load movements. Our Perth-based team is expanding as a result of increased work activity, and therefore we are currently seeking an experienced Fitter (General) on a full-time basis.

Working within a specialist team, the Fitter General will be responsible for:

- To assemble, disassemble, set and configure (mechanically and electronically) & operate the Self-Propelled Modular Trailers (Scheuerle, Nicolas and/or Cometto) in any configuration with any cargo type / weight.
- Must have basic mechanical, hydraulic and electronic understanding and,
- Must be able to properly understand all the technical and engineering documents relevant to SPMT’s and transport operations.
- To perform prestart checks and perform routine maintenance on SPMT and must be able to demonstrate trouble shooting.

The skills and experience required for this role are:

- AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV
- At least two [2] years work experience
- Safe working track record
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Committed to comply with workplace health and safety requirements
- Ability to work unsupervised and
- Ability to work within a team environment
- White / Blue card
- Able to pass a Pre-employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol Screen
- Ability to provide a clear police check if required
- Previous experience in the Specialised transport industry
- Previous SPMT exposure, operation preferred.
- Current C class (car) drivers’ licence
- Up to date Covid 19 vaccination certificate

Desirable criteria:

- Previous Rigging experience and skills
- Forklift and EWP Tickets
- WA pilot escort accreditation
- HC/MC drivers’ licence
- Previous exposure to alternative lifting
- MSIC
- Load restraint training

An attractive remuneration package is on offer for this position with a base salary of $75,000 - $85,000 (depending on the level of experience) and other company-provided items and benefits.
