Takeoff with your next opportunity
As the Supply Chain Analyst, you will oversee and optimize the overall inventory footprint at Jetstar Airways and Group customers. Your role will involve ensuring part availability at key locations to align business objectives, strategies and budgetary requirements.
Your new areas of focus
As the Supply Chain Analyst, your focus will include:
- Developing cost effective and dynamic inventory models, ensuring correct inventory levels are maintained in an effective manner to support Jetstar Australia/NZ and Jetstar Asia and Network Aviation fleets
- Monitor usage patterns across network and determine correct stock levels at stations.
- Carry out spares float analysis to determine if correct level of component spares is being maintained to support current fleet.
- Develop and implement forward purchasing models, maximising volume discount and rebate opportunities
- Developing spend strategies for consumable and expendable products, supporting vendor negotiations for pricing optimisation
- Maintain the integrity of the TRAX system inventory, through constant and accurate update. Liaise with Configuration Control to purify system.
- Ability to extract and manipulate large amounts of inventory data using SQL
- Engage with AMO line managers and warehousing, working to optimise local inventory levels,
ensuring operational and budgetary targets are balanced and achieved
- For new aircraft types and for fleet growth, analyse aircraft manufacturers and OEM’s IP recommendations (RSPL).

We’re on the hunt for someone who:
- Strong Supply Chain Background with a good foundation knowledge in Data Analytics.
- Has experience in Inventory Management/Optimisation with a Supply Chain environment
- Has experience in Purchasing and Component Control
- Strong pure data analyst experience
- Sound knowledge of Excel (Pivot tables, Xlookup)
- Sound knowledge of PowerQuery, SQL and PowerBI.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to effectively liaise with all levels of management, staff and suppliers
- Ability to think laterally and develop effective solutions
