**About the Role**

Offered on a fixed-term full-time basis until 30 June 2025, the Member Support Officer works as part of a team to deliver effective, confidential support to Tribunal Members.

The Member Support Officer supports colleagues in managing the Tribunal's workflow by organising and prioritising their workload and tasks to meet tight tight timeframes. Under limited supervision, the occupant of this role will carry out administrative duties including, but not limited to, diary and correspondence management, proof-reading and editing of documents for publication and typing of decisions and orders.

Key accountabilities include:

- Providing effective, confidential administrative and secretariat support functions to Members including diary, phone call and correspondence management, typing of decisions and orders, proof-reading, formatting, and editing of documents whilst maintaining records in accordance with appropriate VCAT case management and records management systems.
- Finalising orders and decisions, including publication to external databases including Austlii and Jade.
- Building strong working relationships with other Member Support Officers and Tribunal Members to ensure the efficient management and processing of tribunal decisions and orders.
- Undertaking all other administrative tasks assigned by the Member Support Coordinator.

**About You**
- Experience in a legal administrative environment is highly desirable
- Highly organised, good commeon sense and judgement to manage competing priorities and flexible and adaptable to changing demands
- Strong word processing and administrative skills with a keen eye for detail
- Possess well-developed interpesonal and negotiation skills to build rapport and work effectively with colleagues across various departments
