Visual Designer

Digital Native is working on an in-house design-led initiative and is looking for a **Visual Designer** with UI experience to help shape a game-inspired digital product. You'll join a collaborative, fast-moving team where creativity, ownership, and craft are genuinely valued.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in our Southport office on the Gold Coast.
**About the Role**
You’ll take ownership of the visual layer—from asset creation to collaborating on in-app implementation—and play a key role in shaping how users experience the product.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and maintain a cohesive visual design system.
- Design clean, intuitive, and engaging UI for a game-inspired experience.
- Create scalable assets and illustrations using tools such as **Figma**, **Adobe Illustrator**, or **Affinity Designer**.
- Collaborate with Unity developers to ensure assets are optimised and properly implemented.
- Maintain and evolve Figma component libraries and produce interactive prototypes.
- Optional: Contribute to lightweight animation/motion design using After Effects, Lottie, or Unity’s built-in tools.
**About You**
- Experience in a similar role (visual designer, UI designer, or game UI artist).
- A strong portfolio showcasing visual design and UI for digital products.
- Comfortable using Figma and vector design tools.
- Familiarity with Unity pipelines or working with Unity dev teams.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating visually compelling experiences.
**Bonus Experience**
- Game or gamified platform design.
- Motion design or animation workflows.
- UX awareness, especially for responsive or interactive systems.
