This role is classified as Level 3 Content and Production role under SBS Australia's current Enterprise Agreement (with a base salary range of $89,140 - $96,482). The successful applicant will be offered remuneration that is commensurate with their skills and experience and in alignment with this framework.

The Role
Reporting into the National Editor, World News within our News and Current Affairs team, as our South Australia Correspondent, you will report and compile TV, digital and radio stories for news output.
In this role you will:
- Provide comprehensive coverage of South Australia for SBS World News across multiple platforms.
- Plan and execute trips to gather stories in the field.
- Conduct interviews, and film sequences, for news and current affairs programs and NITV.
- Report live from the field and contribute to pooling arrangements with other networks and partners as required
- Develop contacts within multicultural and First Nations communities to fulfill SBS's charter.
- Adapt between various news formats, including traditional television stories and live broadcasts.
- Contribute to forward planning and maintain necessary state bureau functions.
- Deliver content from outside of South Australia, including international material and filing TV packages as part of the pool of reporters, when requested
About You
Ideally, you will have:
- Minimum four years' experience in cross-platform journalism.
- Developed skills in video journalism, reporting, and production.
- Up-to-date training in first aid, defensive driving, and handling hostile environments.
- Detailed understanding of South Australia’s multicultural and Indigenous communities.
- Ability to travel regionally as needed.
