**The opportunity**
Vacenti is seeking for passionate Part time Wellness Carer to join the Clinical Team across our multiple locations in South-East Brisbane. Reporting to, and working closely with the Facility Manager and/or Clinical Manger. In this role you will support residents in maintaining their physical, mental and emotional well-being, ensuring they enjoy a fulfilling and engaging lifestyle.
**Your main responsibilities will include**:
- Assisting residents with daily living activities, personal care, and mobility support.
- Building strong relationships with residents to understand their preferences and needs.
- Supporting and encouraging residents to participate in wellness and recreational activities.
- Helping set up and facilitate group and individual activities in line with care plans.
- Assisting with outings and excursions to enhance residents’ engagement and socialization.
- Observing and reporting any changes in residents’ conditions to nursing staff.
- Ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents.
**To be successful in this position you will need**:
- Certificate III in Aged Care (or currently working towards it).
- Experience caring for the elderly in community or aged care settings.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate resident-focused approach.
- A National Police Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
- A positive and proactive attitude, with the ability to work in a team.
- Desirable:_
- Senior First Aid Certificate
- Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination
