**About the role**:
This is a part-time permanent position (4 days per week - Tues to Fri), located in Mt Druitt NSW. Starting base hourly rate of $35.67 to $37.73 negotiable based on experience, plus 12% super, plus access to generous salary packaging options.
**About the opportunity**:
At Uniting, we know that when someone is living with mental illness, their families and carers are deeply affected too. That’s why we’re seeking a dedicated Carer Support Worker who is passionate about walking alongside carers, empowering them to build resilience, strengthen relationships, and nurture their own wellbeing while supporting their loved ones.
**In this role, you’ll**:

- Provide individual support and guidance, helping carers set and achieve meaningful goals.
- Facilitate groups where families and carers feel heard, supported, and connected.
- Deliver education and training that builds coping strategies and confidence.
- Work collaboratively across Uniting and with external partners to create strong care pathways.
- Keep accurate records and contribute to continuous improvement, ensuring the best outcomes for carers and their families.

**Your qualifications & experience**:

- Certificate IV in Community Services or Mental Health
- A current driver’s licence and NSW WWCC.
- Current first aid certificate
- Experience working with families and carers of people living with mental illness
- Strong communication, advocacy, and group facilitation skills.
- A person-centred and recovery-oriented mindset.
- Knowledge of local service networks and the ability to build meaningful partnerships.
- A heart for compassion, respect and inclusion.
