Due to parental leave, we have a great opportunity for an experienced Executive Assistant to join the Retail Channels Leadership Provide high level support to the Executive General Manager and the Leadership team. Although this is a 12 month fixed term position, at Metcash, we are focused on keeping great talent so at the end of this contract there may another exciting opportunity for you

What You’ll Do

Effective and proactive diary management

Meeting preparation including, agenda creation, preparation of pre-read documents etc.
Coordinate travel and accommodation and manage expense claims

Anticipate the requirements from the team for upcoming calendar events and commitments, plan and communicate timelines effectively, and ensure adherence to deadlines

Record, transcribe and distribute notes/minutes of meetings and creation of agendas
Manage and coordinate complex calendars and meetings
Set up vendors and process invoices as required

Coordinate events including, sourcing of venues, catering, managing invitees etc.

Be valued as a key member of the Leadership team

What You’ll Bring

Experience of working in a fast paced, multi-faceted organisation with a diverse stakeholder group

Strong and proven event management skills

Ability to manage and prioritise competing deadlines and multiple tasks in a demanding and fast paced environment

Ability to problem solve and to provide guidance and direction

Strong interpersonal skills

Ability to understand the role of the EGM and the team/company’s strategic direction

Positivity, enthusiasm and a proactive approach
