**The Role**:
An exciting senior nursing opportunity for an experienced Mental Health Nurse with an interest in training and development. The position will be supported to take the lead in ensuing that approaches and training for the prevention and management of OVA at Northern Health are evidence based and delivered in a safe an effective manner.
The prevention and management of occupational violence and aggression coordinator will be a key leadership role for the Division of Mental Health and will have opportunities to directly influence clinical care and practice.
The role will also be instrumental in both maintaining strong links with our NorthWest Mental Health partners and developing local process at the Northern Health Division of Mental Health. This is an exciting time to work at the Northern Health Division of Mental Health, come and join us as we start to grow and develop.
**To be successful in this role you will have**:
- Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) and currently registered with AHPRA
- A post graduate diploma or equivalent in mental health nursing with 4 years clinical experience
- Experience in providing training in managing clinical aggression or a passion and interest in this area of practice with the ability to develop the expertise required.
- Delivered training and education
- Good project management skills
