Seeking experienced Defendant WorkCover Lawyers (plaintiff or defendant experience considered)
Multiple opportunities - SA/Associate Level
These roles are based within a well known Melbourne firm, with one of the largest WorkCover teams in the industry today. Flexibility, competitive salaries, genuine career development opportunities, as well as serious comradery and support are on offer.
You will be involved in such matters as:
- Dealing with originating motion, damages and statutory benefits litigation;
- Providing written advice and recommendations regarding serious injury;
- Drafting briefs;
- Preparing and advocating mediation in CC and SC proceedings;
- Knowledge of Court Rules;
- Management of own files in relation to Court timetable;
- Time recording and billing;
- Supervision and coaching of Junior Lawyers; and
- Other tasks as directed by Principals;
Your skill set will include:
- Strong drafting skills with a high level of attention to detail;
- Strong communication and relationship building skills;
- Strong Business Development skills; and
- Excellent time management skills
