**About Hyatt Centric Melbourne**

**The Role**:
This is an incredible opportunity to be a part of Melbourne’s newest five star hotel, opening in December 2021, and the only Hyatt Centric in Australia.

As the Food & Beverage Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective running of our conferencing and events centre as well as supporting all areas of food and beverage within the hotel. This will be in line with Hyatt Internationals’ corporate strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest and owner expectations. Reporting to the Director of Culinary / Food & Beverage, you will supervise and manage the day-to-day operations as well as supporting the team to achieve our purpose.

We are looking for a F&B professional who is curious minded, energetic, passionate, is connected to the latest and newest this sounds like you we want to hear from you offerings in Melbourne, and someone who loves researching to find new opportunities.

**Qualifications**:
**Some of the responsibilities include**:

- To represent the Banqueting function on behalf of the hotel
- To be responsible for coordinating and monitoring the activities of all related departments affective to the Banqueting and F&B operation of the hotel and guest related services.
- To plan, direct & implement work assignments based on reservations, occupancy, special needs & work sheets. To adjust to emergencies and to communicate all requirements to subordinates
- To be accountable for the daily operation equipment and facilities ensuring that they are kept in good working order and to ensure all faults maintenance are accounted to
- Ensure that all employees deliver the brand promise and provide exceptional guest service at all times
- Work closely with the Sales and Marketing division to maximize revenue
- Proactively manage costs based on key performance indicators, working through the respective department heads
- To effectively plan budgeting and forecasting for all outlets

**About you**:

- Previous supervisory/managerial experience in a Hotel environment
- A current Victorian Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate
- A local certificate of food handling and hygiene is advantageous
- Exceptional people management and interpersonal skills along with strong communication
- The confidence to promote ideas and make sound decisions under pressure
- A strong attention to detail and the desire to produce high quality operational and administrative outcomes
- The ability and confidence to facilitate training at all levels
- Comprehensive knowledge of business needs, financial reporting and productivity requirements
