**Job Description**:
Oaks Hotels & Resorts are looking for an experienced and passionate Food and Beverage Manager to assist with the kitchen operations at **Oaks Melbourne on Market Hotel **on a full-time basis.
Manage a multicultural team in a compact high-volume kitchen for the Oak and Vine restaurant, bar and room service. No late hours, we close at 10/11pm
This role will be responsible for the day to day operation and profitability of the Food & Beverage department(s) within the property, and assist with the delivery of the conference and events held at our property.
Reporting to the General Manager, this hands-on role will involve (but not limited to):
- Manage rostering and labour costs
- Management and cost control of alcohol and food
- Promote food and beverage sales
- Ensure conference/functions packages are costed and quoted to ensure a profit
- Liaise with the chefs to ensure menu items meet guest needs
- Ensure prompt response to guest feedback and reviews
- Ensure all licensing obligations and associated industry legislation are adhered to for the F&B outlets
- Complete operational reporting
- Lead, support and manage the Food & Beverage team
**Qualifications**:
To be successful in this role you will need;
- 2 years previous management experience
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
- Responsible Management of Licenced Venue (RMLV) or willing to obtain
- Responsible Service of Gambling (RSG) or willing to obtain
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A positive and energetic attitude.
- Be able to work under pressure within a dynamic team environment
- Be able to coach and motivate members of the Food & Beverage team
- An infectious passion for delivering a memorable guest experience.
