Are you an experienced Internal Auditor with a strong background in manufacturing and a passion for driving financial performance? Australian Portable Camps, a leading South Australian-based vertically integrated manufacturer, is seeking a skilled professional to join our Finance team at our Monarto facility.
We specialise in innovative modular building solutions, delivering to major mining, construction, and oil & gas projects across Australia.
**Job duties**
- Identifying, managing and reporting on financial risks.
- Establishing audit objectives and designing and implementing audit methodologies, processes and audit report criteria
- Conducting internal audits and assessments of financial controls, risk management practices, and compliance with regulations and company policies in various departments.
- Arranging, giving notice of and attending meetings of directors and shareholders for the report.
- Conducting regular audits of inventory management processes to monitor stock levels and prevent discrepancies.
- Analysing financial statements, business operations, and supply chain management to identify areas of inefficiency, risk, and opportunities for improvement.
- Reviewing and analysing financial transactions related to the production, sales, and maintenance of elevators and lifts to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
- Providing insights and recommendations to senior management based on audit findings and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and business goals.
- Developing and implementing cash flow management strategies, process improvements, and internal controls to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
- Collecting, analysing and interpreting information on organisations' financial standing, cost structures and trading effectiveness.
- Collaborating with interstate branches and departments, including production, sales, and maintenance, to evaluate internal controls and operational procedures for continuous improvement.
- Devising, re-organising and establishing budgetary cost control and other accounting systems, such as computer-based systems.
**Other requirements**
- At least 5 years of internal auditing relevant experience is required
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance-related is highly preferred
- Have a good knowledge of mathematics as well as engineering principles and tools
- Great problem-solving and creative thinking abilities
- Good communication skills to work collaboratively and the ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Able to define a journey and take along a committed workforce
