**The Role**

**About our Team**
The Collins Submarine Program within the National Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group (NSSG) is responsible for executing the arrangements that deliver the through-life maintenance and programmed upgrade of Australia’s Collins Class Submarines. The Program works in partnership with the Royal Australian Navy and Industry to deliver the strategic submarine capability to the nation. Under the direction of the Business Director, the Business Services Group is responsible for delivering holistic enabling services to the program, including:

- Procurement and contract management
- Budget
- Financial
- Risk and performance management
- Security
- Health and safety services
- Executive, human resource and learning support.
- Be accountable for providing advice and support to procurement planning, tendering and contract formation and contract management activities while ensuring compliance with legislation, procurement policies, processes and procedures.
- Provide guidance, advice and services during the procurement lifecycle on contracting activities including coordination of legal, cost and financial services.
- Draft and review contracting correspondence including complex, commercially sensitive reports, submissions, contract change proposals and other documents as required.
- Understand and provide advice on commercial risk, legal principles and contractual performance requirements.
- Build, sustain and encourage productive relationships with team members and stakeholders and actively participate in team work and group activities.
