**Leading Hand - Grounds Maintenance | Full Time | Wagga**

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated **Leading Hand Grounds Maintenance**professional to join our team in Wagga. In this **full-time role**, you’ll be responsible for leading a small crew and overseeing the day-to-day delivery of Land Management services.

This is a hands-on leadership role, offering an excellent **work-life balance**with a **Monday to Friday roster**, and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful work supporting Defence operations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead and coordinate a small grounds maintenance crew
- Manage daily work schedules and assign tasks to ensure timely and quality service delivery
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders to ensure expectations are met
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and report progress to supervisors
- Operate and oversee the safe use of grounds maintenance equipment and machinery
- Ensure team compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) standards and Spotless/Defence policies
- Mentor team members and support on-the-job training
- Participate in hands-on tasks, including:

- Mowing
- Brush cutting
- Edging
- Pruning
- General gardening
- Green waste removalWeed, pest, and disease control

**About You**:

- Demonstrated experience in a **Leading Hand or similar supervisory role**, preferably in grounds or facilities maintenance
- Strong leadership and communication skills - both verbal and written
- Experience in coordinating teams and delivering work programs
- Commitment to safety, quality, and client satisfaction
- Australian Citizenship (required for Defence site access)Valid Open Class Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle

**Desirable Licences & Certifications**:

- Medium Rigid Truck Licence
- Chainsaw Cross-Cut Ticket
- ChemCert Certification
- Asbestos Awareness Certificate
- Agricultural Chemical Distribution Control Licence
