Finance and Procurement provides the accounting, budgeting, financial statements preparation, revenue collection, procurement, payroll and accounts payable functions within Council.

**About the Role**:

- **This is a great job opportunity to work collaboratively in a job share role and lead a high performing Rates team to ensure the accurate and effective management of Rates, Special Rates and Charges and receipting. You will provide advice and support to Revenue Officers, Customer Service staff, customers in the areas of Rates and Special Rates and Charges, solicitors and conveyancers.**

**Skills, experience and certificates**:

- **Excellent customer services skills and empathy are required**:

- **Knowledge of the rating, voting and special rates and charges provisions of the Local Government.**:

- **Sound knowledge of Council policies, goals and objectives, including the long term goals of the Revenue Services Unit.**:

- **Highly developed knowledge of computer systems to enable information retrieval, production of spreadsheets, accounts and word-processed documents.**:

- **Established proficiency in planning and preparation of annual requirements.**:

- **Experience in the preparation and analysis of relevant budgets.**:

- **Ability to undertake a variety of other accounting related tasks.**:

- **Effective administration and reconciliation skills**
