**Classification**: ANU Officer 6 (Technical) **Salary package**:$86,960 - $90,937 per annum plus 17% superannuation **Term**: Fixed Term, Part-time (0.8 FTE), up to 12 months. **The Position** The ANU MakerSpace supports project-based learning, research capabilities, and personal hobbies in a highly interdisciplinary environment blending STEM & the Arts. Our spaces sit in the College of Science (CoS), the College of Engineering, Computing, and Cybernetics and the School of Art and Design with future growth planned. Open to all on campus, our >1600 active members are representative of all seven ANU Colleges, as well as central areas; undergraduates, postgraduates, academic and professional staff. Key to this community are staff who not only understand a breath of fabrication techniques and what it means to ‘be a maker’, but offer human-centric skills such as pastoral care, cultural awareness, and mentoring. This position sits within the CoS node, working alongside our mentors, our Technical Lead, our Operations Manager, and the MakerSpace Director + colleagues at other nodes. You will drive the space’s mission and culture, contributing to a safe work environment and a quality teaching and research network. You will undertake daily tasks to coordinate and develop workshop events, the physical space, MakerSpace community, and broader ANU communities of fabrication; helping to grow the maker mentality across campus. **The Person** We are seeking someone with a breadth of fabrication, community-building and organisational skills to join the existing ANU MakerSpace team.
