About the Role

We are currently seeking a motivated casual Dental Assistant to join our growing team, with the opportunity of transitioning to a permanent position as the Practice grows.. This is an exciting opportunity to specialize in a surgical-focused role. As a Surgical Dental Assistant, your responsibilities will include assisting our oral and maxillofacial surgeons in the operating room across various hospitals and within our practice for local anesthesia procedures.

**What you'll be doing**
- Assisting an oral surgeon during various procedures, including extractions, dental implants, and pathology
- Preparing and sterilising surgical instruments and equipment to excellent infection control standards
- Maintaining detailed patient records
- Providing compassionate support and guidance to patients throughout their treatment
- Ensuring the dental surgery environment is clean, organised, and fully stocked
- Undertaking administrative duties as required to support the smooth operation of the practice

**What we're looking for**
- Must have Certificate III in Dental Assisting (or equivalent)
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, with a caring and empathetic approach
- Commitment to adhering to strict infection control protocols and safety standards
- Ability to work effectively as part of a close-knit, collaborative team
- Enthusiasm for continuous learning and professional development
- Drivers licence and car as travel to hospitals will be essential

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $32.00 - $38.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- Dental assisting: 1 year (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

- 100% (preferred)
